The Finance & Legislation committee keeps MAASE members informed of the issues, concerns, and new information related to special education legislation and finance. Representatives from the Policy and Finance department of the Office of Special Education and Early Intervention Services (OSE-EIS) provide updates for committee members and serve as liaisons between MAASE and MDE. This committee is frequently asked to draft positions on various legislative, policy, and finance issues that are sent to the MAASE Executive Board for approval.
