Created and approved by the Executive Board during the 2010-11 school year the Membership Services Committee is an amalgamation of the former "Member Recruitment" and "Networking" Committees with a few additional responsibilities. Some of the activities coordinated by this Committee include recognizing new members at General Membership meetings with announcements, providing activities for the membership including special hospitalities (the February hospitality where OSE-EIS staff are invited to network with us, the charity auction and the retirement celebration), and the coordination of MAASE awards. Efforts are also made to recruit individuals who may have a primary responsibility other than that of special education, but who are their districts’ designated special education contacts and to new Special Education administrators.
