Identify partners to support implementation of state plan for autism. Link activities of MAASE project to State Council on Autism and promote the State Plan for Autism. Deepen understanding of current legislation (Senate Bills 414, 415, and 981) and the impact on the educational system. Establish professional development plan for members that includes: Understanding of State Plan for Autism, Evaluation of Persons with ASD, the impact of insurance legislation to treatment/education, and service delivery practices. Develop plan for coordination of programs and services with partner agencies. Promote MAASE Strategic Plan (Legislative Action and Association Partnership Committees) through development of collaboration with agency partners to support State Plan for Autism. Recommend activities to members that could improve coordination of service delivery for persons with autism spectrum disorder.
