MAASE Early Impact Award
The Early Impact Award will be presented to a MAASE member in their first five years of leading special education programs and/or services. This award recognizes outstanding achievement, outcomes and involvement by an early career special education leader. Nominees are those who have exhibited leadership within and outside of their respective administrative roles, who have engaged in regional, state-wide, or collaborative organizational endeavors, or who have demonstrated initiative to improve programs to support the field of special education.
Nominees:

Demonstrate Leadership consistent with MAASE Guiding Principles

Exhibit proficiency in current practices that foster and support growth for students with exceptionalities

Provide adaptive and technical leadership for colleagues, peers and those that they supervise

Engage in volunteer and leadership opportunities within MAASE
-
Promote innovative and effective programming
-
Contribute to the field in ways that would be considered ‘beyond their years’
