Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in serving one of MAASE's volunteer roles and helping to build a strong foundation for special education leadership. You can use this form to request that one of the Leadership Development Members contact with you with more information.  

MAASE leaders understand the capacity challenges of our members, which is why we offer a variety of ways to be involved with MAASE. Opportunities include: micro, event planning, year long term and more. 

Interested in mentoring special education professionals who are new to their role? MAASE assures its members that the assignment of a Mentor will be a high-quality, value-added experience that will assist in their growth as a high-performing and compassionate leader.

You are a mentor candidate for MAASE if you:
  • Want to make a positive impact on development of leaders
  • Are willing to continue to learn, and share your learning with others
  • Possess a Michigan Administrator of Special Education credential, Supervisor or Director
  • Have acted in the role of a Administrator of Special Education for a minimum of 3 years, or have been retired for less than 24 months
  • Are a current member, or are willing to join/rejoin MAASE as a member
