2024 MAASE Summer Institute

In keeping with MAASE's mission of providing "...opportunities for leadership development, collaboration, and advocacy...", Each year, special education leaders convene in August to engage in leadership development and shared learning on topics critical to the field of special education. 

This premier event for special education leaders in Michigan will feature the following:

• Keynote Speaker Joe Beckman: As co-founder of TILL360, Joe Beckman's mission has been to RECLAIM HUMAN CONNECTION in school communities throughout the world. Joe has shared his infectious energy, humar, and passion in over 2,000 schools, positively impacting over 1 million people world wide through live speaking events, powerful videos, or his book, Just Look Up - 5 life-saving phrases every human NEEDS to hear.

This annual event starts on Sunday August 11th with several optional activities during the day and an evening kick-off hospitality reception that is open to all conference attendees. Participants will then engage in full days of learning on Monday and Tuesday through whole group sessions, breakouts, and networking with hospitality receptions at the close of each day of learning. The conference will come to a close mid-morning on Wednesday. Participants will leave Summer Institute with new professional connections, feeling energized & engaged, and equipped with new tools for success for the 2024-2025 school year!
